Alliance Française Omaha has partnered with independent group Café et Conversation Midwest to bring Omaha and the Midwest’s francophones a French conversation event every week of the year!
C&C is a casual weekly meetup to practice/speak French. Whether you are a beginner, native speaker, or somewhere in between, C&C is the group for you! C&C meets at various locations in the Omaha area. Events are free to attend and all are welcome.
AFO will share C&C’s events on our website event calendar, but we also encourage you to join the C&C community via their email list, private Facebook group and website below.
OÙ ET QUAND?
We'll be meeting at 10:30am on Saturday, August 24th at The Terrace in Council Bluffs.
This coming week, C&C will be trying a new venue. The Terrace is a café on the Council Bluffs side of the Missouri River, next to Tom Hanafan River's Edge Park. They sell coffee, tea, other hot drinks as well as both breakfast and lunch items.
If you haven’t yet been to The Terrace, it’s a brand-new café that offers beautiful views of the downtown Omaha skyline, plus they have some delicious eats!
Plus, it’s super easy to get to. If you’re coming from the Nebraska side just pop over the interstate to the River’s Edge area on the Missouri. Or if you’re feeling more adventurous, park on the Omaha side and walk over the Bob Kerrey Bridge. It’s literally 5 minutes from the bridge…
When you arrive, look for C&C organizer Alicia Jaunty. Let us know that you’re coming by RSVPing below. Everyone is welcome, no matter if you are a beginner, a native French speaker, or somewhere in between. Hope to see you there!
