Alliance Française Omaha presents an apéro like no other!

Join us May 9th for an Apéro like no other! AFO's special guest will be Charlie Whitesides from the popular YouTube channel, Street French. Charlie—in conversation with AFO's Jeff Koterba—will provide attendees at all levels with easy-to-understand techniques to take your French to the next level. With 149K subscribers, Charlie’s YouTube channel is popular with French learners, showing students how to incorporate everyday spoken French with the formal French we all learn. 

Charlie's conversation with Jeff will be presented with English for context. There’s no expectation to speak French at this casual event but you are certainly welcome to! 

Où et quand? This month’s Apéro will be held at the Market Basket, at 2501 S. 90th St in Omaha on Thursday, May 9th at 5:30 p.m. The first hour kicks off with a cash bar and social hour, followed by this special program with Charlie. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend, along with French speakers at any level—this is a unique opportunity for everyone to enhance your French!

About Charlie: A native of Los Angeles, Charlie has a Bachelor’s degree in French and Francophone Studies and a Master’s degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language from Middlebury College. He's lived in New York and Paris where he finished a study abroad program at The Sorbonne in 2017. Although this will be his first visit to Nebraska, he's played a pivotal role for French learners in the Omaha area as he was the inspiration for Jeff to launch Café et Conversation—Omaha in 2019.
