Alors… on prend l’apéro?
Apéro, short for apéritif, is sacred in France: an hour or so before dinner when you can unwind over a glass of wine, a few light snacks, and good conversation.
Whether you are fluent in French or want to practice speaking, come out and join us! This recurring AFO French conversation event held the second Thursday of each month and all are welcome.
Où et quand? Venez nous rejoindre pour participer à notre apéro et parler en français! Nous vous invitons à profiter de cette soirée hors du commun, qui reflète les qualités de nos membres et de nos invités. Vous êtes tous les bienvenus! This month’s Apéro will be held on Thursday November 14th at 5:30 p.m. at the Market Basket, 911 S. 87th Ave in Omaha.
Join us afterward at 7 p.m. at the Bookworm down the street, for a special event featuring AFO's very own Ted Wheeler!
Novelist Theodore Wheeler will read from his novel, The War Begins in Paris, the recent Omaha Reads selection, and talk with fellow writer and francophile Lydia Kang about the experience of writing a novel that's set in Europe but peopled with Midwesterners.
Thursday, Nov. 14, 7:00 p.m.
