Author Event at the Bookworm with Ted Wheeler and Lydia Kang

  • The Bookworm 2501 S. 90th St. Omaha (map)

Novelist Theodore Wheeler will read from his novel, The War Begins in Paris, the recent Omaha Reads selection, and talk with fellow writer and francophile Lydia Kang about the experience of writing a novel that's set in Europe but peopled with Midwesterners. The novel follows several American foreign correspondents (some real, some fictional) as they confront the reality of a fascist Europe from a journalist's perspective. Come raise a glass to celebrate the novel's run with Omaha Reads and enjoy a conversation about the connections between travel, inspiration, and history insight. Questions and comments from the audience will be welcome.
