Alliance Française Omaha has partnered with independent group Café et Conversation Midwest to bring Omaha and the Midwest’s francophones a French conversation event every week of the year!
C&C is a casual weekly meetup to practice/speak French. Whether you are a beginner, native speaker, or somewhere in between, C&C is the group for you! C&C meets at various locations in the Omaha area as well as Sioux City. Events are free to attend and all are welcome.
AFO will share C&C’s events on our website event calendar, but we also encourage you to join the C&C community via their email list, private Facebook group and website below.
OÙ ET QUAND?
We'll be meeting at 10:00pm on Saturday, October 19th at Council Oak Coffee Roasters in Sioux City. Please note the earlier time.
There’s nothing like a historic building filled with the rich aroma of roasting coffee to put one in the mood for friends and conversation!
Join the Café et Conversation – Sioux City team at Council Oak Coffee Roasters for a morning session of French conversation. Council Oak Coffee Roasters is a completely restored 100-year-old building on a hill overlooking downtown Sioux City. While you sip and conjugate, you can imagine that the busy street below is in a bustling village in the south of France – or the heart of Paris.
All skill levels are welcome. Everyone started somewhere, so if you’re a beginner we welcome you. If you’re somewhere beyond – even advanced, this is the place to get your French fix.
When you arrive, look for C&C Sioux City organizer Janet Frederick. Let us know that you’re coming by RSVPing below. Hope to see you there!
